The GReddy unit comes set with a 5.5 PSI waste gate. Of course once you
have everything on and you are ready to move on to "just a bit" more
boost...
To change the waste gate linkage you will need to remove it
from the turbo.
- Remove the pin that holds the linkage to the turbine side of the turbo.
- Remove the two 14mm bolts from the compressor side of the turbo with an
air wrench.
- Disconnect the hose from the actuator. |

| Shown here is the stock ~5.5 psi lock nut in place.
(though I did testing using a calibrated digital meter and received peaks as high
as 6 psi) |

Sorry for the fuzzy picture - no macro on the camera. |
| To increase the boost (actually the level at which the waste
gate is opened) you should move the lock nut AWAY from the end of the
threaded stud. This setting is at ~ 8-9 psi. You need to use a
boost gauge to really understand the level of boost you are putting
out. I am NOT saying that 8 or 9 psi is what you should be boosting
to. |
